Ying Yang is made with a combination of Sichuan peppercorns, fennel seeds, star anise, cloves, and cinnamon. The name was chosen to represent the balance of flavors and heat levels in the blend, with the peppery and hot flavors balanced by the coolness of the other ingredients.

Ying Yang is a versatile seasoning that can be used in a variety of dishes, from noodle soups and stews to fish, chicken, or beef. It adds depth and complexity to any dish and is perfect for those who enjoy a balance of savory and spicy flavors.

 

Ying Yang Grilled Steak Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 steaks of your choice (such as ribeye or sirloin)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons Ying Yang
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.

  • In a bowl, combine the olive oil and Ying Yang. Stir to combine.

  • Season the steaks with salt and pepper.

  • Brush the spice mixture over both sides of the steaks, making sure to coat them evenly.

  • Grill the steaks for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare or until desired doneness is reached.

  • Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.

 

 

Ying Yang Roasted Vegetables Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound mixed vegetables (such as broccoli, carrots, and bell peppers), cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons Ying Yang
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  • In a bowl, combine the vegetables, olive oil, Ying Yang, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat the vegetables evenly.

  • Arrange the vegetables in a single layer on a baking sheet.

  • Roast the vegetables in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until they are tender and golden brown.

  • Serve hot as a side dish.
