Basic Sugar Cookies with Chai Pie Wallah Seasoning

Ingredients:

  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

  • 1 egg

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 tablespoon Chai Pie Wallah seasoning

  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar (for rolling the cookies)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven:

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

  1. Mix the Dry Ingredients:

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and Chai Pie Wallah seasoning. Set aside.

  1. Cream the Butter and Sugar:

  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and 1 1/2 cups of granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

  1. Add the Egg and Vanilla:

  • Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.

  1. Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:

  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

  1. Form the Cookies:

  • Roll the dough into 1-inch balls. Roll each ball in the remaining 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar.

  1. Bake:

  • Place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet about 2 inches apart.

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. The centers should still be soft.

  1. Cool and Serve:

  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

  • Enjoy your deliciously spiced sugar cookies!
