Biscuits and Sausage Gravy
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
3/4 cup milk
1 Tablespoons Escape to Blue Ridge Seasoning
For Sausage Gravy:
1 pound pork sausage
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups milk
2 teaspoons Escape to Blue Ridge Seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and Escape to Blue Ridge Seasoning
Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Add milk and stir until just combined.
Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet.
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
Sausage Gravy Instructions:
Cook the pork sausage in a large skillet over medium heat until browned.
Sprinkle flour over the sausage and stir well.
Slowly add milk while stirring.
Add Escape to Blue Ridge Seasoning and continue to stir until the mixture thickens.
Season with additional salt and pepper if needed.
To serve, split a biscuit in half and generously ladle the sausage gravy over the top.
