Creamy Wild Garlek Chicken Skillet

Featuring Oak City Spice Blends’ Wild Garlek Seasoning

Ingredients (Serves 2–3)

  • 2 chicken breasts

  • 1 tsp Wild Garlek Seasoning (plus extra to taste)

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

  • 2 Tbsp butter

  • 1 Tbsp olive oil

  • ½ cup shredded carrots

  • 2 scallions, diced

  • 1 cup chicken broth

  • ½ cup heavy cream

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Prepare Chicken

    • In a shallow dish, combine flour, salt, and pepper.

    • Lightly dredge chicken breasts in flour mixture, shaking off excess.

  2. Sear Chicken

    • Heat butter and olive oil in a large sauté pan over medium heat.

    • Add ½ tsp Wild Garlek Seasoning and stir into the fat to bloom the flavors.

    • Place chicken in the pan and brown on both sides until golden (about 3–4 minutes per side). Remove and set aside.

  3. Vegetables & Sauce Base

    • In the same pan, add shredded carrots and diced scallions. Cook for 2–3 minutes until softened.

    • Pour in chicken broth and simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the pan. Reduce by about half.

  4. Creamy Finish

    • Stir in cream and Parmesan cheese, along with another pinch of Wild Garlek Seasoning.

    • Return chicken breasts to the pan, coating them in the sauce.

    • Simmer gently until chicken is cooked through (internal temp 165°F / 74°C).

  5. Serve

    • Spoon sauce and vegetables over chicken. Serve hot with rice, noodles, or crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
