Spiced Crab Cakes - 1920's Social Hour Seasoning


  • 1 lb crabmeat

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs, divided

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise

  • 1 egg, beaten

  • 1 tbsp "1920s Social Hour Spice Blend"

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

  • 1 tsp lemon juice

  • Olive oil, for frying


  1. Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, mix crabmeat, 1/2 cup breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, beaten egg, "1920s Social Hour Spice Blend," parsley, and lemon juice. Mix gently but thoroughly.

  2. Form Crab Cakes: Shape the mixture into small patties and coat with the remaining breadcrumbs.

  3. Cook: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the crab cakes until golden brown on each side, about 3-4 minutes per side.

  4. Serve: Serve hot with lemon wedges and a side of remoulade or tartar sauce.
