Carolina Crown Crystals Shrimp and Grits


  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 1 tbsp Carolina Crown Crystals

  • 1 cup stone-ground grits

  • 4 cups water

  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated

  • 4 tbsp butter

  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced


  1. Cook grits in water according to package instructions until smooth and creamy.

  2. Stir in cheddar cheese and 2 tbsp butter until fully melted.

  3. Season shrimp with Carolina Crown Crystals.

  4. In a skillet, melt the remaining butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.

  5. Add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque.

  6. Serve shrimp over grits, garnished with green onions.
