Tar Heel Tang BBQ Sauce
1 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons Tar Heel Tang Carolina Spice Blend
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon hot sauce (like Tabasco, adjust to taste)
1 teaspoon ketchup (optional for a touch of sweetness)
In a saucepan, combine all ingredients.
Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.
Reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
Remove from heat and allow to cool.
Transfer to an airtight bottle or jar and store in the refrigerator. Shake well before using. Great for pulled pork sandwiches!
