Cilantro Lime Crema with Peruvian Sun Seasoning

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sour cream or Mexican crema

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise

  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro leaves, chopped

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice

  • 1 teaspoon lime zest

  • 1 tablespoon Peruvian Sun seasoning

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Ingredients:

  • Wash and chop the cilantro leaves.

  • Mince the garlic.

  • Juice and zest the lime.

  1. Combine Ingredients:

  • In a medium bowl, combine the sour cream (or Mexican crema), mayonnaise, chopped cilantro, minced garlic, lime juice, lime zest, Peruvian Sun seasoning, salt, and black pepper.

  1. Blend:

  • For a smoother consistency, blend the mixture in a food processor or blender until smooth. If you prefer a chunkier texture, simply mix well with a spoon or whisk.

  1. Adjust Seasoning:

  • Taste the crema and adjust the seasoning with additional salt, pepper, or lime juice as needed.

  1. Chill:

  • Cover and refrigerate the crema for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

  1. Serve:

  • Drizzle the cilantro lime crema over your favorite tacos just before serving. It also pairs well with burritos, enchiladas, and grilled vegetables.
