Golden Sunset Shawarma Hummus

  • 1 can (15 ounces) chickpeas (garbanzo beans), drained and rinsed

  • 1/4 cup tahini (sesame paste)

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 tablespoon Golden Sunset Shawarma Seasoning

  • Salt to taste

  • 2-4 tablespoons water (for desired consistency)

  • Optional toppings: extra olive oil, a sprinkle of Golden Sunset Shawarma Seasoning, chopped fresh parsley, pine nuts, or paprika

  1. In a food processor, combine the drained chickpeas, tahini, minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, Golden Sunset Shawarma Seasoning, and a pinch of salt.

  2. Process the mixture until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed. If the hummus is too thick, gradually add water, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired consistency.

  3. Taste the hummus and adjust the seasoning as needed, adding more Golden Sunset Shawarma Seasoning or salt if desired.

  4. Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl and drizzle with a little extra olive oil. If desired, sprinkle some additional Golden Sunset Shawarma Seasoning on top for extra flavor.

  5. Garnish the hummus with chopped fresh parsley, pine nuts, or a sprinkle of paprika for added color and texture.

  6. Serve the Golden Sunset Shawarma Hummus with fresh vegetables, pita bread, or crackers for dipping.

  7. Enjoy the creamy, flavorful goodness of this Middle Eastern-inspired hummus!

Feel free to adjust the ingredients and seasonings according to your taste preferences. This Golden Sunset Shawarma Hummus is perfect for serving as a dip, spread, or topping for sandwiches and wraps. Enjoy!
