Sloppy Joes with Wiggly Piggly Seasoning


For the Sloppy Joes:

  • 1 pound ground beef

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 large onion, finely chopped

  • 1 bell pepper, finely chopped

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tablespoons Wiggly Piggly seasoning

  • 1/4 cup tomato paste

  • 1 cup tomato sauce

  • 1/4 cup ketchup

  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Hamburger buns, for serving


Prepare the Beef:

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.

  2. Add the ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon, and cook until browned and no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.

Cook the Vegetables:

  1. Add the chopped onion and bell pepper to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are softened, about 5 minutes.

  2. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Season and Simmer:

  1. Sprinkle the Wiggly Piggly seasoning over the beef and vegetables, stirring to combine.

  2. Add the tomato paste, tomato sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar. Mix well.

  3. Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce is thickened and flavorful.


  1. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  2. Spoon the sloppy joe mixture onto hamburger buns.

  3. Serve hot, with your favorite sides like coleslaw, pickles, or potato chips.
