Homemade Spaetzle with Baden-Württemberg
Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
2 large eggs
3/4 cup milk
4 tbsp unsalted butter
Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt, and baking powder.
In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs and milk together, then pour into the flour mixture. Stir until well combined and smooth.
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Using a spaetzle maker or a colander with large holes, press the dough into the boiling water.
Cook the spaetzle until they float to the surface, about 2-3 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain.
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the Baden-Württemberg seasoning blend and stir to combine.
Toss the cooked spaetzle in the herb butter until well coated and lightly browned.
Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve warm.
