Potato Farls

  • 2 cups mashed potatoes

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, flour, melted butter, and salt and pepper. Mix until well combined.

  2. Add your desired addition or substitution ingredients to the dough and mix until evenly distributed. If using the optional seasoning blends, add them to the dough at this stage.

  3. Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a ball.

  4. On a lightly floured surface, roll out each ball of dough into a circle, about 1/4 inch thick.

  5. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Cook each farl for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.

  6. Remove from the skillet and repeat with the remaining farls.

  7. Serve warm and enjoy with your favorite toppings or spreads.
